Dogwood Valley Campground opened in 1965 with just 20 crude campsites surrounding a lovely 6 acre lake.  This spring fed lake was originally built by the late Dr. A.F. and Bernice Southard in their wooded "Backyard" several years earlier.  Scenic, tranquil, friendly, family-oriented, and well kept:  these are some of the words most often used to describe Dogwood Valley Family Campground.   The past 44 years have seen many changes, improvements, and additions.  Dogwood Valley now offers 200 campsites with water, electric, and some sewer hookups to accommodate everything from small tents to large motor homes.

2009 will be bringing many new and exciting changes to the park.  The new owners are Richard and Nancy Felber.  They had been looking for a campground to purchase for over 2.5 years.  In that time they seriously researched over 26 different properties.  However, when they saw Dogwood Valley, they knew how special both the property and the people are that camp there. Over the years they have visited many campgrounds in their own RV and they wanted to find a place that felt like home.  They wanted somewhere that reminded them of camping as kids.  Richard grew up outside of Buffalo, NY and had spent many family vacations tent camping in and around the Finger Lakes with his 5 younger brothers and sisters.  Dogwood reminded them of those times.  In getting to know more about Dogwood Valley, they have been astounded at the longevity of the camping family that comes to Dogwood Valley every summer.  What a group of loyal campers.

Generations of families have enjoyed themselves at Dogwood Valley.  Tucked away in the northern section of Morrow county is this recreational wilderness just waiting for you and your family to enjoy. Come and be a part of the Dogwood family today.  You'll be glad you did!
